Dear Mother,
Yes another week done, and alot more stress!! Haha there is
so much here that needs to be done, and it takes alot of energy to do it
sometimes! i always go to bed dead tired, and mentally exhausted, but it is so
worth it! :) My comp is cool, we are working on developing our area, it got
really neglected last transfer because alot of things came up with disobedience,
but I don't need to go into that haha So we are really going to focus on building
this week. The Language is SUPER hard... I am not really getting it. We use a
translator in every lesson, but we don't have anyone to really teach us the
language, so we try to learn it on our own, but it really does not work haha
Luckily Eleder LeFevre has been here for almost 6 months so he knows a little
that gets us around. Most of the wealthy and educated people here know English
though, so its always refreshing to run into someone who speaks English haha
The visit by Elder Cook was really good! We received some really good
instruction from him on how we can better incorporate Preach My Gospel into our
missionary work. We are going to have a more focused study and development of
using PMG in all phases of our missionary work. So we are going to start
training our missionaries more in PMG and helping them understand the important
role it plays in our missionary work. I guess we have not been as focused on it
as we previously should have been. It is always good to get wake up calls and
instruction from the Lord's chosen servants! It is so good. There have been
a couple times on my mission where I have been really refocused on the work and
stuff, and this meeting was one of them, it was a really great
experience!
Well we have been working alot on developing and growing the
Sudanese group that we are in charge of, and it is really fun! We have been
meeting with this Sudanese family the last few days and they are so awesome!
Whenever one Sudanese person is converted, he/she brings a TON of family! They
have such tight family relations and huge families, it is real cool! I am going
to have to come back to my mission someday because I know there is going to be
so much growth over the next two years!! and even 10 years!! The church here in
Ethiopia is just beginning and it is so great to be a part of it! It is so fun!
We went on exchanges in Bekolubet this week and it was really fun, the
elders there whitewashed, but are working so hard and seeing alot of success! We
are really excited for them! We worked with them and had a great time on
Thursday.
Well sorry I don't have much to report this week, some things came
up with missionaries, and i am not going to write them, but we had some movement
in the Zone and now it is all good, so it was a really mentally and spiritually
draining week. But I am good now! refocused for the coming week!

thanks so much for sending me that link!! It was so exciting to see
the Miller's!! (a link on the Gilbert Temple, Brad home taught brother and sister Miller for a few years before he left.) I was so happy! I wrote them a letter this week congratulating
them on being missionaries too!! haha The missionary couple up here, The
Parrish's are Utah fans so they made sure to tell me all about the game, it is
really disappointing to hear about such a big loss. well next year!!
Oh!
and there is a couple here serving as humanitarian couples from Vernal!! They
are called Elder and Sister O'Crowley. They said they know Gpa Manwaring, and
they worked in the temple alot so they might know Gpa and Gma Kendall!! Ask
around and see haha They are a really awesome couple. they live out in
Maeser.
